Humble beginnings
The Hope Food Pantry began as an idea for serving our community and western Minidoka county. After serving with the Idaho Food Bank mobile pantry for many years, the team was given a vision for a local food bank to provide for the needs of our neighbors at an easily accessible place and time. The Food Pantry was born with a few cans and some dry staples.
We have partnered with the Idaho Food Bank and other local generous supporters to stock the pantry to supply the needs of all who come. When you arrive, one of our staff will meet you at your car and ask you how many people we will be feeding. Boxes are assembled in the pantry and delivered to your car. While you're waiting we are happy to pray for you, just ask. The winter hours of the pantry are from 11:00am to 1:00pm every Thursday (weather permitting). During the summer, the pantry opens on Thursday evenings as well from 5:00 to 7:00pm. The pantry entrance is on the west side of the church building. |
